Does anyone else with Rosacea have to continue taking daily oral anti-biotics and Metro Cream?

Rosacea developed in my late 30%26#039;s and was not treated for a few years. (no money, no insurance). If I do not take my oral antibiotic daily and use the cream, my face breaks out really bad. It never completely clears, I always have red bumps of some degree or another. I do watch my diet, temp. changes, sun exposer, ect. I have friends with Rosacea and their faces look so much better and they don%26#039;t use their meds regularly! Does my face not clear because I left it untreated at first?|||I feel your pain B Y. I have Rosacea too, it was the first question I asked when I learned about this site. Mine was left untreated (by a doctor) as well though I tried just about every cleanser, soap,


non-soap, herbal remedies and cover-ups on the market. Even something over the T.V. Murad (?) burned the hell outta my skin.


Everything burned it. Just having my boyfriend kiss my chess was like throwing acid on it!


My Uncle has it and he told me what he was on...so I finally went to the doctor. Now I%26#039;m on tetraclycline...I take it everyday (when I remember...er!) Plus I was with Johnsons Baby Soap- a pink bar! I figure if it%26#039;s mild enough for a baby....it might work for me. It actually make my face a little smoother. I don%26#039;t use the cream and my face rarely ever breaks out now, just the pills and the soap....I%26#039;m a lot happier now....a lot less pain. Though I still redden if I%26#039;m in the sun or just blush or stress whatnot....but don%26#039;t have the little red raised bumps that I used to. My skin is smooth now. I%26#039;d for the uneven coloring of my skin...probably due to scaring and just because it%26#039;s Rocacea...I know use


Physicians Formula Face Powder...it%26#039;s for sensitive skin...talc free and is very smooth. I%26#039;ve thrown many other brands away just after the first week....but this one is for keeps.





If your face continues to be red bumpy an irritated.....try going to an alergist...save your money! You could just find that something your eating you have a sensitivity too and your face is the first thing that%26#039;s going to show it!
