What's the difference between sour cream and creme fraiche?

Cr猫me fra卯che (French for %26quot;fresh cream%26quot;) is a heavy cream slightly soured with bacterial culture, but not as sour or as thick as sour cream. Originally a French product, today it is available throughout Europe and the rest of the world.|||they`re much the same .but creme fraiche can be the thickness of sour cream to nearly solid .traditionally in france creme freche is made with unpasturised milk so it has natural bacteria .

You can make it yourself ,you just need a cup of whipping cream and 2 table spoons of butter milk ,cover and leave in a warm room about 70 f from 8 to 24 hours until very thick then stir well cover and refridgerate .It will keep for a few days .|||Not a lot of difference and both french originally
